Atmosphere is great! They did a great job. However, food is not that good and it’s so expensive for not that good of food. Drinks were good but again too expensive for not being that strong. They have the right idea with what they are doing with the place but they have to do something with their menu if they are going to charge that much make the food better. Or change your prices.
Had a wonderful first-time dining experience at La Mariposa this evening. The customer service was stellar, the staff were attentive and kind, the fajitas were delicious (especially the shrimp and chicken), and the restaurant space was beautiful. We loved all the lights, plants, butterflies, and the festive environment. Looking forward to coming back in warmer weather to enjoy the beautiful rooftop patio, too!
I have never gone to the Longmont location until tonight. I was excited to go. The place was smokey. The hostess promptly sat me in a corner booth, which i was happy with. I waited for about 10 minutes before a man came to ask me what I wanted. I ordered a mojito with an extra shot. It tasted good but did not taste any alcohol. I ordered the chicken enchiladas to go and queso while I waited. I'm not sure what this was exactly. The queso was very watery and had a grainy texture (see video). 😕 I don't think I will go back to this location. The Boulder and Lyons have really been nice to go to.
OK so the new building is pretty but who is writing these reviews of the food and drinks being so good. We found it expensive and small food. Ordered fajitas and the plate it was on had small little sections for the toppings and very minimal, They only give you 2 tortillas and they were kind of cheap looking and thin. Even the rice and beans were not much. The margaritas were weak, the salsa was like tomato soup. Really?? Cost upwards of $100 for 2 meals and drinks with tip. Not going back. Cyclhops is the place to go for Fajitas. Big enough for 2 people to split and they give you lots of toppings.
